The nearest international airport is Basel (also called Basel-Mulhouse). Once there you have to take a taxi to reach Bollwiller (an half hour trip).

You can also arrive in one of the Paris airports and take a train to Mulhouse (3 hours trip by TGV). If this is your intention, please contact Terenty that can help you to design your trip to Bollwiller, at +33 646 713 879.

By Train

The travel cost is about 10 euros from Basel Airport to Bollwiller (taxi is much more expensive : 60-90€).

At your arrival at Basel Airport, take the shuttle from the airport to the railway station : "Saint Louis Gare" (about 1€).

Once at Saint Louis Gare, there is no direct train to BOLLWILLER, you will have 1 change and the cost will be around 8 €:

• you must first take a train (called "TER") from St Louis station to "Mulhouse Ville" and change there; usually it takes 13 minutes;
  
• in Mulhouse-Ville station, you will find a train that will drive you to BOLLWILLER station (10 minutes).
  

Be careful on the time shedules : waiting the next train at Mulhouse Ville can be very long, up to 2 hours . So make sure your waiting time will be as shorter as possible. Here are two examples of schedules:

• Departure: St Louis Gare: 10:56(TER 96224), arriving at Mulhouse ville at 11:09. (travel can vary from 13 minutes to 25); departure from Mulhouse to Bollwiller at 11:28(TER 31378), arriving at 11:39. So the waiting time here at Mulhouse Ville is about 20 minutes.

• This one is the example of the longest waiting time: departure from St Louis Gare at 15:26(TER 96240), arriving at 15:39 at Mulhouse Ville. There, you'll wait 1:45 your train to Bollwiller, which leaves at 17:16(TER 31386), arriving 10 minutes after.

Note your train number : this number is specific to each train and changes according to the departure time of the trains : don't pick up the wrong train. Be careful of the very variable lenght of itineraries.

Regular opening hours of shops, banks: Opening hours in Alsace are usually from 9.00 to 12.00 and 14.00 to 18.00 (banks) or 19.00 (shops). ATM machines are readily available, and credit cards can be used in most places. Shops are closed on Sunday and some are only open till lunch on Saturday.

Taxi: Safe but expensive. From Basel airport to Bollwiller, the cost is around 60€.

Special laws about alcohol, smoking: No smoking in restaurants or any other public places. No alcohol prohibition!
