Dr. Jennifer GIDLEY is a psychologist, educator and futures researcher and member of WFSF since 1994. She works globally, creating networks between futures studies and other transdisciplinary fields, such as integral studies, global studies, innovative education and global youth culture and has an international profile as a speaker and facilitator. Her doctoral research explored macrostructural shifts in culture and consciousness within both macrohistorical and futures contexts. Jennifer has researched and published widely in the futures field including co-editoring/authoring: The University in Transformation (2000); Youth Futures (2002) and Futures in Education (2004) as well as numerous refereed journal articles and book chapters. She has recently co-edited two special issues: one with Manfred B. Steger for the journal New Political Science on “The Changing Face of Political Ideologies in the Global Age” and the second with Rakesh Kapoor for Futures on “Global Mindset Change.” Jennifer co-designed, developed and instructed the online component of the Masters in Strategic Foresight at Swinburne University, Melbourne (2003-2006) and is currently a Research Fellow in the Global Cities Research Institute, RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia.
